I just recently bought Snapware glass lock containers and when first washing them, I realized that soap seems to get caught behind the silicone seals. In between the seals and the plastic lid.

Is anyone else having this problem?

I saw these at Kohls. They were 50% off, so I bought a couple to try. WOW! I liked them so much that I went back and bought more while they were still on sale. YIPPEE!! No more stinky, ugly, plasticware.

An unexpected plus - you can see everything you have stored in the frig. No more time wasted taking lids off of plasticware that you can no longer see through.

Those sound appealing. My Rubbermaid containers are beginning to wear out and I like the idea of glass and silicone instead.

It's amazing when I think of how advanced societies are reverting to certain things our grandmothers used to do - in my granny's pantry in her day everything was in glass jars. They never used to throw much stuff away, conserved energy and water automatically, and re-used fabrics. Sometimes, modern is not better, and we could learn lessons from the way our ancestors used to live.
